Helping heal together is not only my aim as your clinician but also as a member of the Raleigh community. Through therapy and neighborhood events promoting emotional wellness, Actualized Counseling & Community wants to assist in making the best version of you a reality.

Hi, I’m Shanita. I’m a therapist and the founder of Actualized Counseling & Community. My goal is to create a space where people feel comfortable being honest about what they’re carrying, without fear of judgment or having to “hold it together.”

I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, burnout, trauma, obsessive thoughts, emotional overwhelm, and major life stressors. I also proudly support LGBTQIA+ clients and individuals navigating multicultural experiences and identity-related challenges.

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and down to earth. Together, we explore how your thoughts, emotions, experiences, and different “parts” of yourself influence the way you move through everyday life. In therapy with me, you can show up as the achiever, the caretaker, the entrepreneur, the daughter…or the version of you that’s simply exhausted. I don’t need you to show up trying to be perfect - I want you to show up read to build awareness, create healthier patterns, and feel more connected to yourself!
